Hello all! finally we have some sun here! yay! and I'm Christmas crafting.... seems a bit odd! oh well!
This week finds my desk in continuation to last weeks WOYWW... I have finished covering all of the little advent calendar drawers, I am now trying to decide how to decorate the numbers with a lasting finish, I was wanting a glittery finish but am worried that will all come off! so I'm in the middle of doing a few samples before I go and ruin all the numbers that come with the kit :o) Looks like I'll be testing just about every option, paint, stickles, glitter, embossing powder..... nail polish??!!....
I have been doing a few ATC's too, but have hidden all that stuff away to keep it a surprise for next week :o) Thanks for stopping by, I'm hopping over to Julia's now to take a peek at a few more desks! x

How amazing is that calendar going to be?? Though I do think it's funny that you're doing 'Christmas' when it's 28C outside!! I also understand why you're doing it now though, it's got to be right for your Mum's birthday :)
Thanks for your lovely comments and support btw, it does mean a lot.
Hugs, LLJ #57 xx
Don't know whether you have considered it but Glossy Accents might work, you can put glitter on once you have covered the item and the GA is sill wet. That stuff moves for no-one! Happy WOYWW, Anne #18
Hi April, only me again, thanks for visiting me. I have only just realised, you are making the advent calendar by Kaisercraft. I did one recently, but not for Christmas, you can see it here if you have time - http://bollyanne.blogspot.co.uk/2012/03/woyww-week-145-labour-of-love.html
Hope you get the numbers glittered OK. Regards, Anne x #18

Anytime I want a permament finish I use a clear coat of enamel over the top of it. I use that method for a lot of my projects that I keep on my patio. You are doing such a fantastic job! waving hi from the hills of North Carolina :)
I agree with Redanne...mix up some glitter with glossy accents and it won't be going anywhere! Trish #51

I'm afraid I can't pass on any pearls of wisdom because you're all talking a different language! But I do know that I like what you've done so far...it looks incredible.
