Card for a Man

My friend asked me to make a Birthday card for her to give to her Fiance. I did do two designs for her to pick from and this is the one she chose.

I always struggle with male cards, but I'm quite pleased with how it turned out and my friend was really happy with it. I cut 4 equal panels from various cardstock from the DCWV Latte Stack, I used a 1 1/2" circle punch to make an opening in edges of 2 of the panels. I then adhered all 4 panels directly to the card making sure they were all evenly spaced.

To make the sentiment section I cut 2 thin strips of the cardstock and stuck them right next to each other on a strip of card so I had a single panel made up of 2 of the different coloured cardstock. I then created the sentiment on my PC and printed on white card. I trimmed the sentiment and the backing to a suitable length, I adhered the white sentiment directly onto the two strips of coloured card then adhered the entire piece to the card using foam pads.

To create the parcel embellishment, I cut a square of silver card and 4 small squares from the coloured cardstock, I adhered the small squares to the silver card then added a small bow tied from silver twine to finish it off.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
The Crazy Challenge - "Cards for Men"
Pear Tree Designs - "Free for All"
Top Tip Tuesday - "Open Challenge"

I think your card is lovely, I might use your idea if that's ok, I really struggle with cards for men. Anne x
