What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday?? WOYWW??!!!

Hello again, here we are another week closer to xmas! this week you find me working on a book I'm making as a gift for my Mum (hopefully in time for xmas!!) I was inspired back in July by our fellow WOYWW'er Anne, she made a beautiful book for her friend and I just loved it! Now, I've had to take some gearing up for this one as I only "do" cards, but last week I finally made a start on a similar creation, not a cascade style like Anne's but in general along the same lines, mine is for my Mum and is going to have a combination of piccies of me, Mum and my Grandma, along with some nice verses and sentiments along the way. I have chosen the Sweet Owl paper collection from First Edition as I wanted to go with a pink and brown theme and it also has some lovely glittery sheets. You could see in last weeks post that I had covered all of my chipboard pages ready to embellish and I have now made a start on a couple of the page layouts, one of the ones in progress has been inspired by a post on The Scrapbook Garden's Blog. Nothing is stuck down yet, I need to find some nice verses and sentiments to use along with the photo's so don't want to adhere anything until I can see how they will work together. I'm switching between working on this book and xmas cards at the moment, so you may well come back next week to find my desk full of festivities again like last week! We'll see :o)

Thanks for stopping by, I'll be popping over to Julia's later to have a snoop at some desks, have a great day. x

Oh, what a great idea for your mum - she'll definitely love that book. My 86yr old mum just doesn't want 'stuff' anymore but family memories like that would be a winner!!
Hugs, LLJ xx
