WOYWW?? What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday??!!

Hello all, well the wednesday's are comming around even quicker this year!!!

This week you find me "having a go" at a Vintage style card, it's not a style I've tried much as I'm lacking in the distress style products, but I finally got around to making my own glimmer mists using food colouring, acrylic paint and some gold pigment that I already had and I think they turned out pretty good, so I used them on the flowers that I made using some old book pages, think it's comming together quite well so it will probably end up being a Mothersday card for my boyfriends Mum.

Pop over to Julia's to see what everyone else is up to! Thanks for stopping by, have a lovely day.

You're not simply 'having a go' at Vintage - you're succeeding, big time!! I love that card :) And good for you for making up your own glimmer mists rather than buying more stash, it's certainly worked!

Hi April, thanks so much for the visit. Firstly that is not a dabble but a vintage lovely!
I really know how you feel and despite my battles, I also wasn't feeling the baby thing at all in my 30's either - just didn't. I'm 41 now, so maybe you feel even better! As cliché as it sounds, if it's for you, you will know - you just will. So enjoy life now and trust your instincts. I was still freaked out at the thought of losing my life, crafting, prams and gunk, etc., but felt ready to dive in. All your 'already have kids friends' get all broody too - mine are already signing on the line for babysitting. Just fine by me... I have plans to do it my way, have a bit of it all and most definitely chase my arty dreams. So live your life and enjoy being you. Sarah x.

OHHH I think the card is gorgeous, I have 2 distress inks that i tried this week, still not too sure about them! I love the idea of making your own glimmer mists did you follow a tutorial or receipe? I have seen lots of people use them but again i don't have any so would give making them a try Hope you have a great week Lou @#26

I think so much emphasis is put on owning the right product that I forget that you can use just about anything. I started my grunge and distress career out with Stampin Up and continue to use their inks, papers, cardstock rather then switching over. Doesn't mean I don't own the distress stuff...just not all of it. Emprovise. I am offering up some blog candy so come leave a comment on my blog and get a chance to win! Thanks for sharing and have a great week. Vickie #90
